Leisure Redevelopment/ Letting
Following the redevelopment of the upper floors of the property to accommodate a 160 bed Hampton by Hilton, Lexicon identified the opportunity to redevelop a tight car park to provide a 1,840 sq ft retail/ leisure unit. The redevelopment required the building of a shop front and external walls to provide a serviced shell unit. The property was extensively marketed although uses would be limited to occupiers who would compliment the hotel use. Newcastle Tap was one such occupier and they took a 10 year lease. They invested heavily in fitting out the premises as a bar offering an extensive craft ale and lager selection.
