Lexicon advised CBL on the acquisition of premises to facilitate the expansion of their manufacturing plant in Sunderland. The property identified was a 65,000 sq ft long leasehold factory adjacent to their existing facility. The property was held long leasehold and following a quote from the owner Lexicon were instructed to put the transaction together. This included a full building survey to establish the potential dilapidations liability which was used to substantially reduce the price at which the deal transacted. This followed other property advice to the purchaser including acquisition of nearby warehousing premises.
